BlueSky Wellness Center
Blue Sky Wellness is a non-profit organization whose under the umbrella of KingsView Corp. Our mission is to "Provide Community Mental Health and Social Services to those with limited resources and to do so in the Christ example of love, compassion and respect for all persons." We use Community Food Bank as our main source of food to feed our members and at times very limited.
Client/Family Driven Program: Blue Sky is a wellness, recovery, and resiliency center that provides peer driven education, stigma reduction, social activities and opportunities, volunteer opportunities, and support activities to address mental illness and/or behavioral health challenges to achieve recovery and wellness.
Support for family members and other support persons of individuals living with mental illness is an integral component to the wellness and recovery for client populations being served through MHSA. We provide space for the NAMI family support groups.
The Peer Advisory Committee (PAC), which meets monthly, steers the planning for groups and activities as well as implementation of prevention and early intervention activities from the consumer and family member perspective. Kings View provides curriculum for group leaders to pull from and training on how to lead groups and then the consumers take the lead.
Since we are contracted by the county PEI (Prevention Early Intervention) we accept everyone 18 and over who seeks temporary and sometimes permanent assistance to those with limited resources. Resources such as: support groups, linkages to MH and Social Services (GR, SSI, Housing, etc.) We offer Amenities such as, Showers, Laundry and Meals (Breakfast and Lunch), place to socialize with people of similar needs.
We service diverse population such as, Homelessness, Drug addicts who are trying to get back to a better living and People with Mental Health disabilities or just people who are just. We accept everyone who wants to better themselves. We provide Hope and do not judge anyone by their past or current challenges.
